Day 2 Summary
Day 2 of Summer Game Fest has arrived, and the announcements roll on! If you missed our summary of Day 1 of this massive gaming event, be sure to check it out so that you don’t miss any of the new titles and updates we’ve already got to look forward to. Friday was thrilling, and Saturday shows no sign of slowing down, as we’ve got a whole five more showcases to talk about throughout the day. With that being said, let’s get into all of the announcements from developers showcasing their work on Day 2 of Summer Game Fest!
3. Latin American Games Showcase
Future Of Play
Abyss X Zero

Day 2 of Summer Game Fest kicked off with the Future Of Play Direct, featuring plenty of exciting gaming titles coming within the next few years – the first of which was an exclusive first look at Abyss X Zero, a stylish new release from Studio Pixel Punk, the team behind UNSIGHTED. With it’s flashy visuals and diverse gameplay, this one will be one to watch when it touches down soon – though we have no release date just yet, for now, you can wishlist the game on Steam.
Zodiac XX: Leo
Up next was a new look at Zodiac XX: Leo, an upcoming sci-fi game from Virtuoso Neomedia combining high speed ship-driving gameplay with resource management to keep the health of all of your crewmates in good order. Zodiac XX: Leo will release later this year, in 2024.
Battle Suit Aces
We then got a better look at Battle Suit Aces, one of the many games announced yesterday as part of the Outersloth indie game fund announcement. This game is a high-stakes, card-battling RPG, where players will dive right into cosmic chaos in a world created by Trinket Studios. There’s no release date available yet, but be sure to wishlist this title on Steam if card-battling games are your thing.
All Systems Dance
Get ready for a new action-adventure title, all about dancing as an act of revolution – this new game, from developer Mighty Yell, promises fluid animation and exploration, allowing players to feel like they’re dancing through the world, all contained within a heartfelt narrative tale touching on human issues. You can wishlist this title on Steam now.
Yooka-Replaylee

3D platformer fans will be excited by the next feature at Future of Play, a deeper look at the upcoming remaster of 2017’s Yooka-Laylee. The remaster, intelligently titled Yooke-Replaylee promises to retain all the charm of the original title, while also improving on various features of the experience, such as the camera, graphics, controls, and the addition of new content – as any good remaster should! Be sure to wishlist the game now, and join in the wait for our next look at this exciting title!
Nova Hearts
Lightbulb Crew, the team behind Nova Hearts, then took the spotlight to announce that this upcoming title will be releasing on Nintendo Switch this fall season. This game, which looks to be a fresh spin on the dating game genre, features your character and the other people in your hometown all suddenly transforming into superheroes and villains – turn-based combat ensues!
A Date With Death
Speaking of dating games, a new DLC was announced for A Date With Death, a visual novel game all about convincing the Grim Reaper to fall in love with you so that you don’t die. Create your own character, and flirt with Death to avoid the afterlife. The new DLC, Beyond the Bet, announced at Future of Play today, is set to double the playtime of the original, along with including new animations, voice acting, and more! December 9 2024 is the date for this DLC’s release – be sure to check out the original game now!
LOK Digital
We then got a look at the new puzzle adventure game from Icedrop Games, LOK Digital, where you discover magical words, all of which have the power to change the world around you as you explore. LOK Digital combines cozy aesthetics with challenging puzzle gameplay – if it sounds up your street, you can check out the demo on Steam now!
Croakwood

Looking to combine relaxing gameplay with a charming building and management simulator experience? Look no further than Croakwood, the newly announced title from Texel Raptor, the team behind Parkitect. If this amphibious city-builder looks like your kind of game, be sure to wishlist it on Steam now – I know we’re excited to learn more about this title in the near future!
Cozy Marbles
Set to launch later this year in 2024, Cozy Marbles promises just what it says on the tin – a sandbox game where you roll marbles through colourful structures of your own creation. Everyone needs time to relax and be satisfied by the simple things in life, and if that’s calling to you right now, be sure to look out for when Cozy Marbles releases.
Reka

If the massive, chicken-legged house showcased at the beginning of the trailer for Reka today didn’t catch your attention, we don’t know what will! In this upcoming title from Emberstorm Entertainment, you will forage for ingredients, decorate your unusual home, and of course, practice magic! If you’re as excited for this title as we are, you can check out the demo on Steam, available right now!
Sandara: City of a Thousand Eclipses
A new narrative game set in a desert city, Sandara requires the player to play their cards right in this deck-building game in order to survive. Make sure to drop this new title from Studio Malosi a wishlist if you’re ready to learn more about this mysterious title coming soon.
Airborne Empire
Another game with a demo available now on Steam, Airborne Empire is a sequel to the 2020 city-building in the sky experience, Airborne Kingdom. This sequel looks to promise a much more intense experience as opposed to its relaxing 2020 counterpart – the sky is now filled with enemies, all of whom you’ll have to contend with as you try to keep your city afloat. Be sure to check out this ambitious new title when it eventually drops in full!
Dungeon Clawler
A claw machine deck-building game is certainly a unique combo, but we’re all for it! And guess what? It’s also got a demo out right now! If constructing powerful combat decks and taking on various enemies across a number of mysterious dungeons and worlds, be sure to check out the demo for Dungeon Clawler, and wishlist it on Steam!
N.O.D.E.
In this title, you play a small robot, working your way through a side-scroller world, using the environment to solve various puzzles, all while avoiding futuristic threats, such as laser beams and crushing metal surfaces. Curious for more? A demo will release later this month in June 2024 – be sure to check it out!
Copycat

We got another look at the much anticipated Copycat during today’s Future of Play showcase – a game all about playing as a cat, and choosing what kind of companion you’ll be. While this narrative-driven adventure is cute on the surface, it also promises to tug on the heartstrings, especially those of cat lovers out there. Jump into the world of a cat this September, when the game fully releases.
Light Odyssey
A 3D boss-rush action game inspired by a combination of the Dark Souls franchise and Shadow of the Colossus? Sign me up! In a world robbed of its light, you must fight off the darkness and save humanity. This thrilling action experience is available to wishlist now on Steam, and will be available as a full release sometime later in 2024. We’ll be sure to be there, and we hope you will be too!
Slay The Princess

If you haven’t had a chance to dive into the wonderfully morbid world of Slay The Princess yet, then look no further! At Future of Play, Black Tabby Games announced that the game will be receiving a deluxe edition, titled the Pristine Cut. This new edition will feature three new chapters, all new endings, and tons of new beautifully illustrated frames to flesh this story out even more – and it’s coming to consoles! Look out for the Pristine Cut in this fall season when it arrives.
Wholesome Direct

Wholesome Direct kicked off with the announcement trailer for Mythmatch, a new community-building simulator game themed around ancient Greek mythology. You’ll play as Artemis, and bring together the lives of her fellow Olympians using a grid puzzle system. There’s no release date just yet, but you can wishlist the game on Steam today.
Caravan SandWitch
A captivating narrative-driven exploration adventure in which you explore a desolate planet in search of your missing sister, Caravan SandWitch took the spotlight to announce that a demo is now available to play on Steam. Get ready to interact with a diverse cast of characters in a hopeful post-apocalyptic world when the game eventually releases in full, coming soon.
Tiny Bookshop
Potentially the coziest of all the cozy games showcased today, Tiny Bookshop is a narrative management game where you leave life behind and set up a bookshop by the sea. Take in the scenery while interacting with the locals in this new life-sim – with a demo available on Steam to try right now. The official release date is to be announced, but be sure to support this game today.
Été

A stunning game based on the beautiful pastime of painting, get ready to explore Montréal in an experience where the whole city is your canvas. Take on commissions and unleash your inner artist this summer, as Été releases very soon, on July 23 2024 to be exact. This perfect addition to the Wholesome Direct lineup is looking like one of the most peaceful games 2024 has to offer.
Discounty
Sure, this is Wholesome Direct, but it looks like this game is only wholesome on the surface. The trailer, showcased today, hints at some darker undertones to Discounty, a game all about managing your own supermarket! Developer Crinkle Cut Games revealed that the game will launch next year in 2025 – we’re excited to learn the truth about what lies underneath the cutesy appearance of this title.
Rooster
Early 2025 is the time to mark if you’re interested in Rooster, a heartfelt, story-rich casual puzzle adventure celebrating ancient Chinese culture. Sticky Brain Studios has promised that Rooster will be an emotionally rewarding tale – and that’s all we need to hear to be on board with its beautiful aesthetics.
Playdate Showcase
There was then a brief showcase of some new titles coming to the Playdate, a small hand-held device with a 1-bit screen. There are six new games coming to the Playdate, so owners of this console will be excited to get their hands on these new titles coming soon.
Into The Emberlands

Interested in collecting resources to create a safe haven for you and your fellow villagers in a colourful world? Then you’ll be excited by Into The Emberlands, especially considering this game is available in early access on June 19 on Steam! We personally can’t wait to protect our village against the looming darkness in this new roguelike coming in 2024.
Squeakross: Home Squeak Home
In this game, you become a homeowner! But not in the way you might expect. As the name implies, Squeakross will have you decorating the perfect home for a rodent friend, solving puzzles to create furniture for a beautiful mouse house. With a planned release date of 2025, we can’t wait to see more of what Squeakross has to showcase before its release.
Critter Café
Critter Café is like if you took Pokemon, but instead of making them fight, you made them help out in the running of your very own cozy coffee shop! You’ll have to explore the world to find these mythical critters, and rescue them by bringing them on board in your café management team! There’s no news of a release date just yet, but you can wishlist the game now on Steam.
Garden of the Sea
This 2022 title, originally released for VR, has announced that it’s taking its seaside world of creativity and wonder to Steam and Nintendo Switch later this year in 2024. Get ready to garden, nurture creatures, and go for a relaxing fishing session on the platform of your choice soon – but if you can’t wait to try Garden of the Sea for yourself, check it out now on VR.
Fantastic Haven

In Fantastic Haven, you’ll play a mage who is tasked with saving endangered fantasy creatures by building a shelter for them, which you can do through exploring for resources and rallying the support of neighboring populations. A free prologue for the game is available right now on Steam if you can’t wait to try it out, and the full game is scheduled to release later this year.
Crab God
Crab God is an atmospheric underwater strategy game, and it’s coming to Steam on June 20 2024! There’s also a demo available to download right now, if you’re anxious to dive into diverse coral reefs and protect the egg of the next Crab God. Strategy fans, keep an eye out for this one soon!
Ila: A Frosty Glide
Another Steam demo! This time, players will take control of Ila, a young witch who combines her broomstick with a skateboard, and gets ready to perform tricks as she glides through the air. With a freely explorable open world, and plenty of secrets to uncover, Ila: A Frosty Glide is looking like a must-play – and though there’s no release date just yet, we can’t wait to try the demo for ourselves!
Sally
And again, we get another Steam demo! The content is unbelievable! In Sally, each playthrough presents a different story, as you ride aboard a flying ship piloted by two elderly women. Your interactions with the characters around you will shape the future you lead. Sally is coming soon, and you can play the free demo on Steam right now!
Fellow Traveler Showcase
We then got another montage as part of Wholesome Direct, this time highlighting a new collection of games from developer Fellow Traveler Games. We can’t wait to get a better look at these titles when they release.
Dungeons of Hinterberg

Did anyone order another Steam demo? Well you’re getting one! There’s almost too many to keep up with! In Dungeons of Hinterberg, you’ll snowboard and slay monsters as you journey through the Austrian Alps. This dungeon diving experience is set to release on July 18 2024 on Xbox and PC – be sure to keep an eye out for it!
Fruitbus
Have you ever wanted to run your own cozy food truck? Well now you can, with Fruitbus releasing in October 2024! You’ll be able to explore to collect ingredients to make delicious new meals, as well as upgrading your truck in order to visit all new destinations to serve your customers. Once again, there is a demo for this game available now on Steam, and we recommend you check it out!
Freeride
Set to launch in early 2025, Freeride is an adventure RPG where you board a train to the spirit world and help its passengers solve their various problems in all sorts of ways. With branching storylines and telekinetic abilities, this intriguing title is one to watch out for next year – and there’s a personality demo on Steam right now! Go try it out!
Kamaeru: A Frog Refuge
This game is all about looking for frogs, creating products to sell, and attracting more frogs – a cycle that we can really get behind. This relaxing title shadow dropped during Wholesome Direct, and is now available to play on PC! What’s more, it’s on sale! Hop to it, and try out the mix of minigames and decorating simulation now!
Lost and Found Co.
This upcoming title is a quirky, hidden object adventure in a cozy and immersive world, brought to you by Bit Egg Inc. Get ready to retrieve lost items, solve puzzles, and do it all while helping a tiny dragon companion get her power back! And, as announced at Wholesome Direct, there’s a new demo available for Lost and Found Co. right now!
Littlelands

Up next, we have a trailer for Littlelands, a life simulator that looks like the perfect blend of Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing. Prepare yourself to go on dangerous journeys into goblin-infested lands, or relax in the safe areas of the game – there’s something for everyone in Littlelands, though we have no release date just yet! We can’t wait to hear more about this title.
Minami Lane
Minami Lane released in February 2024 for PC, but now, the cozy management simulator is on its way to Nintendo Switch later this year! Get ready to oversee your wholesome, Japanese-inspired street on the Nintendo console when it releases on the platform in 2024, but if you can’t wait to check out this game, you can buy it on Steam right now!
POOOOL
Pool has never been quite so comforting! In POOOOL, you can combine pool balls of matching colour to create bigger ones, but if the pool table fills up past its limit, it’s game over! This is the second game to shadow drop during Wholesome Direct, so you check it out right now on Steam!
Tiny Lands 2
A beautifully crafted, 3D spot-the-difference game, Tiny Lands 2 is set to release in 2025, and we can’t wait to test our eyesight in such a satisfying environment. Better yet, you can play Tiny Lands 2 with a friend, and work together with your companion to uncover the differences between the two fully rotatable models in each level.
Moonstone Island
Like Minami Lane, Moonstone Island is already available on Steam, and has been since 2023, but now, it’s on its way to Nintendo Switch! Get ready to collect creatures in an open world with 100 islands to explore – you can also meet other collectors and pit your creatures against each other in card-based combat. Be sure to check it out when it arrives on Switch on June 19 2024!
Rolling Hills

We were then treated to a launch trailer for this cozy life-sim, all about serving up sushi as a robot chef in Rolling Hills, a tranquil small village. The game is available now on PC, Game Pass and Xbox, and we recommend you check it out if you’re in the mood to enhance your very own sushi shop. Get ready to perfect your craft!
On Your Tail
A 3D life-sim like no other, On Your Tail looks to promise equal parts relaxation and equal parts thrilling investigation when it drops later this year in 2024. In pursuit of the perfect summer vacation, get ready to explore your exciting new surroundings, all while uncovering local mysteries. This title is coming later this year to PC and Nintendo Switch – be sure to check it out!
Spilled!
In this game, with a demo available on Steam now, you’ll take control of a boat in charge of cleaning up waste and oil spills in bodies of water. You’ll sail through all sorts of areas, all while upgrading your boat to clean more efficiently. There’s no release date just yet for this title, but we’ll be sure to keep an eye out for it!
The Palace on the Hill

Another game to shadow drop during Wholesome Direct, The Palace on The Hill sees the player take on various odd jobs and errands in order to make money to support his sick father. A love letter to Indian art, history and stories, we recommend you check this one out now, available on Xbox, PC, and mobile – it looks like a truly calming experience.
Traveller’s Rest
We also got a look at a new trailer for Traveller’s Rest, a tavern management simulator where you’ll strive to become the best tavern keeper in the world. The game is currently available in early access, so you can dive right in and get involved with this game as it develops. We recommend you check it out!
Sopa: Tale Of The Stolen Potato
This one looks like a blast – in Sopa: Tale Of The Stolen Potato, you’ll take control of a young boy who is routinely finding the ingredients his grandmother needs for cooking being stolen creatures from a magical world, into which he enters to retrieve the stolen goods. It’s set for release later in 2024, and we can’t wait to see it in its full glory.
Tracks Of Thought

Tracks of Thought was the final showcased game at Wholesome Direct – and get this, it’s another shadow drop, so you can dive into it right now! In this game, you play as a lost ladybug trying to figure out why everyone on the train she’s riding has forgotten something important, including her. The card-based game is available now on PC, and we suggest you jump in right now – it looks like an interesting ride!
Latin American Games Showcase
Prisma

The Latin American Games Showcase kicked off with a look at Prisma, a camera-focused JRPG, where you’ll go on an adventure to meet friends, enemies, and change the world, all while keeping your camera primed for the perfect photograph. The game is coming soon to Kickstarter, where you’ll be able to support the ventures of developer, Dreams Uncorporated!
Goblin Cleanup
We then got a look at a new trailer for Goblin Cleanup, a cleaning-sim where you have to clean and rearrange procedurally generated dungeons before adventurers explore the area. We don’t have a release date for this quirky title just yet, but you can wishlist it now on Steam!
I Was Lost
Next up was a trailer for I Was Lost, an upcoming puzzle game where you must move walls, avoid danger in a labyrinthic poem, and create your own stories. Each level is a poem’s verse unraveling as you progress, and if that sounds like your thing, there’s a demo available for this title on Steam right now!
Deathbound
Up next, we have Deathbound – and one look at this upcoming soulslike will be enough to get fans of the genre on board. It looks to have all the essential elements of a soulslike in tact, combined with a truly unique aesthetic. The game is planned to release in 2024, and has a demo available now for players who want to dive right in.
Heaven Crawler

Traverse through an ever-changing babelian structure filled with robots in Heaven Crawler, an upcoming atmospheric hack-n-slash dungeon crawler with RPG elements. A release date is yet to be announced, but you can try out this game right now with a demo available on Steam – be sure to check it out!
Gurei
Available to wishlist now on Steam is Gurei, an action platformer where you face challenging enemies inspired by Japanese mythology and acquire their powers – this one looks like an exciting, boss-focused experience, and it’s one we can’t wait to try when we eventually get more info on a release date, hopefully soon!
Hidden In My Paradise
We then got a new look at Hidden In My Paradise, a new game from Ogre Pixel. This looks like a cozy experience, where you’ll decorate and complete various missions in a beautifully colourful setting. The game is available to be wishlisted on Steam now.
Projéct Timi: Sasha’s Curse
A 3D rhythmic puzzle-packed action game mashup, where you must use the rhythm of the music to activate magic traps and explore the dream worlds – Projéct Timi: Sasha’s Curse looks like a lot of fun, and it’s coming in 2025! Luckily for fans, it’s got a demo available now on Steam, so that you can jump right into the magical madness!
Naughty Geese

Our next world premiere was an announcement trailer for Naughty Geese, a 2D pixel art platformer where you control a biker goose. If that’s not enough to convince you, this title also promises gameplay that is simultaneously unique and a faithful tribute to the established genre. You can add this title to your wishlist now on Steam, as we await a release date!
Slime Heroes
Up next was a look at Slime Heroes, a co-op game where you can play with your friends to save the world from a mysterious corrupting force. Find different weapons and create your own magical abilities when this game releases soon, or jump into the demo available on Steam right now!
The Path Into The Abyss
Get ready for The Path Into The Abyss, a cosmic-horror, first-person open-world survival shooter – based on the announcement trailer showcased today, it’s looking like a thrilling ride, and we can’t wait to hear more about this title from Argentinian developer, MXR Productions. Be sure to wishlist the game now on Steam for more information!
Among The Stars

Up next was a world premiere trailer for Among The Stars, a space exploration game where you find yourself trapped in a distant galaxy and are forced to fight, trade, explore unknown lands to return back. The cinematic trailer was an enthralling experience, and we can’t wait to see more of the gameplay in action before the game releases later in 2024.
Mexico, 1921: A Deep Slumber
Up next, we were treated to a demo announcement trailer for Mexico, 1921: A Deep Slumber – an emotional and intriguing narrative adventure video game about the awakening of a country. You will play a young photojournalist swept up in Mexico’s journey to modernity, and it looks like quite the experience. You can dive into this rich world right now with the demo available on Steam!
The War in Chiapas
Next was the world premiere announcement trailer of The War in Chiapas, a stealth game based on a group of brave young people who decide to create an armed movement to generate a new revolution. A fictional story based on a real context, this looks like one to watch, and though we have no information regarding a release date as of now, you can wishlist the game on Steam today.
Desvelado

This self-proclaimed ‘vampiric precision platformer’ was one of the most unique announcements of today’s showcases. Combining an adorable art style with a hand-crafted 2D platform experience, we can’t wait to try out the demo of Desvelado available now! The game is also slated for a 2024 release, so it won’t be long until we can get our hands on the complete experience.
Bittersweet Birthday
Bittersweet Birthday was the subject of the next world premiere at the Latin American Games Showcase – according to the game’s Steam page, this title combines Soulslike dodge roll mechanics with bullet hell mayhem, and we can’t wait to see that combination in action. It is set to release in 2025, with a demo available now.
Eagle Knight Paradox
Next up with a trailer for the upcoming side-scrolling action adventure platformer, Eagle Knight Paradox. This title looks to combine mecha platforming with a slice-of-life twist, and will be available on PC in February 2025 – be sure to check it out!
Codex Eternal Eclipse
Codex Eternal Eclipse is an upcoming 2.5D action-adventure turn-based combat game, and we were treated to the announcement trailer at today’s showcase. Explore diverse locations with vibrant colors and a unique cast of characters when this title comes to Steam in 2026.
Vultures – Scavengers of Death

Vultures – Scavengers of Death is a newly announced turn-based survival-horror roguelike from Team Vultures. After a bioterrorist attack, you’ll explore the horrifying Salento Valley, facing all sorts of fearsome monsters along the way – major Resident Evil vibes with this one. The game is available to wishlist now on Steam!
Mariachi Legends
And now, for our final world premiere of the showcase, we got a look at Mariachi Legends, an action-platformer where you journey through the world of the dead. With a planned release date sometime in 2024, fans won’t have to wait long to dive into this mysterious world, which mixes Mexican folklore and classic arcade gameplay in a charming blend – be sure to wishlist it now!
Women-Led Games
RA RA BOOM

The Women-Led Games Showcase for this year kicked off with a look at RA RA BOOM, a fast-paced four-player co-op beat ‘em up where you and your friends control a team of ninja cheerleaders. Following a classic arcade format, this title looks like it’ll be an absolute blast to play – and we cannot wait to find out more whenever Midwest Games decides to share more info.
Citadelum
Next up was a look at Citadelum, a city builder set in Ancient Rome. There’s a demo available for this title on Steam now, where you can dive head first into exploring the world, trading with other nations, and leading your army in epic tactical battles. The game is set for a release on Steam in 2024.
SunnySide
SunnySide was the next game to be showcased – a farming and life simulator set in the Japanese countryside where you must build a thriving home while chasing your own happiness. There’s a demo available on Steam right now, but if that’s not enough SunnySide for you, the full release is scheduled for 14 June 2024 – get those farming hands ready!
Albert Wilde: Quantum P.I.

Up next was a look at Albert Wilde: Quantum P.I. – an interesting game to say the least. You must solve murders and investigate crime organizations in an anthropomorphic world where you play a detective cat. We can expect this 1930s noir-inspired detective game to drop sometime soon, but you can check it out early through the demo available on Steam right now!
Soulitaire
We’ve dived into games that involve opening up your own ‘cozy something’ today, but we haven’t yet opened up a cozy fortune-telling cafe. That’s where Soulitaire comes in! In this game, you’ll play a fortune teller who’s decisions will shape the lives of your customers. The release date is yet to be announced, but you can dive into a demo of the game on Steam now!
Woodo
Woodo is potentially the most aesthetically relaxing game to come out of today’s Summer Game Fest lineup. This is a cozy 3D puzzle matching game, with a backdrop of a heartwarming story. Promotional material has really focused on the idea of returning to the carefree sense of childhood – and we can’t wait to dive back in time ourselves when this game releases – though there’s no release date just yet!
The Star Named EOS

The Star Named EOS promises a story-rich puzzle adventure built around photography – get ready to engage with puzzles, whilst engaged in a beautifully hand-drawn world. The Star Named EOS will arrive on Steam on July 23 2024, while a demo is available to play right now on Steam. This one looks like a joy to play, and we recommend you check it out now.
Hyde’s Haunt & Seek
We then got a look at Hyde’s Haunt & Seek, a multiplayer mayhem game where players will either play as humans seeking to obtain prized possessions from a haunted mansion, or as ghosts, looking to scare away the humans from your belongings. You can add this game to your wishlist now on Steam to prepare yourself for all the fun and frights!
Urban Jungle
The final highlight of the Women-Led Games Showcase was a look at Urban Jungle, a decorating game where you turn your concrete home into a beautiful green space. Follow the story of your nature-loving heroine when this game releases this 2024, and if you can’t wait for the full thing, a demo is available to play on Steam right now!
Future Games Show
Bogdan’s Cross

The first game highlighted at Future Games Show was Bogdan’s Cross, an action-adventure game where players will traverse stunning landscapes, uncover hidden secrets, and battle fierce foes, all while playing as a shepherd bear on his journey to become a knight. The game is scheduled to release in 2025, and you can add it to your Steam wishlist right now.
First Dwarf
We then got a look at a gameplay trailer for First Dwarf, an immersive action RPG where you’ll build a base and defend it, all while exploring a crumbled fantasy world. The game has a demo available to play now on Steam, and will hit Early Access on June 19 2024 – try it out!
Nobody Wants To Die
Set in a dystopian New York in 2329, Nobody Wants To Die is an interactive noir story where you’ll play a detective chasing a serial killer targeting elite residents of the city. The game is coming to PC and consoles in 2024, and we can’t wait to lose ourselves in this alternate future world.
Detective Dotson
We then got a gameplay trailer for story-driven adventure game, Detective Dotson, where you’ll solve cases as the titular detective in modern day India. The game is scheduled to release in late 2024, but there’s a demo available on Steam right now, so you can try it out early!
In Sink

Our next world premiere was for In Sink, a stylized multiplayer game where players will have to work together to solve puzzles to escape a desert island. Co-op games where players have to work together in sync with each other have become more and more popular in recent years, and we can’t wait to see what Clock Out Games have come up with when the game releases in late 2024.
Dredge
Next up was a trailer for the upcoming DLC for Dredge, titled The Iron Rig. The horror fishing game has maintained popularity since its initial release, and we can’t wait to see what this DLC pack brings when it releases on August 15 of this year.
Netflix Games Showcase
Following this announcement was a brief showcase of the games coming to the Netflix Games platform later this year, including but not limited to Don’t Starve Together, Rotwood, and Tales of the Shire. Be sure to check out Future Games Show for a full list of the games coming to the platform soon.
Happy Bastards

We then got an announcement trailer for Happy Bastards, an open-world tactical RPG with turn-based combat. In this game, you’ll assemble a squad of mercenaries to explore, fight, and loot. The release date hasn’t been announced yet, but you can wishlist this game now on Steam – it certainly looks like it’ll be an interesting release, and we’ll be on the lookout for more news.
Deliver Us Home
We know very little about Deliver Us Home, outside of the fact that it will be a solitary sci-fi experience coming to Kickstarter on June 11 2024. We can’t wait to see more from this third-person narrative game – though it is the third entry in the Deliver Us series, the developers have confirmed you don’t need to catch up on previous instalments to play this one.
SacriFire
A new gameplay trailer for SacriFire was showcased. This upcoming pixel-art RPG will follow a young priest as he struggles to keep his faith when the world is threatened by war. The developers have expressed that this title was inspired by games from the 90s, so fans of that era should keep an eye out for this one when a release date is announced – though a playtest for the game was announced at Future Games Show, which is now live on Steam!
Goat Simulator 3
Goat Simulator 3 took the stage to announce a new DLC coming this month to console and PC platforms, on June 19 2024. The expansion, titled Multiverse of Nonsense is guaranteed to include all the chaos that the Goat Simulator franchise has come to infamy for – and we can’t wait to see it in action this month.
Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream

Up next was a look at a brand new top-down stealth adventure game, titled Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream. Coming in 2025, fans will be treated to the story of Hanna, who following the disappearance of her brother, Herman, must embark on an adventure that will change not only their lives, but the lives of the entire city of Eriksholm. Check out this narrative-driven experience when it drops next year.
Mandragora
Mandragora was presented to the Future Games Show audience as a 2.5D soulslike sidescroller – which was enough to sell me on it nearly instantly. The in-depth overview showcased at the event, featuring gameplay, is making certain that this will be one to watch out for it comes out later this year to PC and consoles.
Dustborn
Up next was a gameplay trailer for Dustborn, a game all about the power of words. You’ll use only your words to shape relationships with your crew, get out of trouble and reach your final destination. The game is set to release on August 20 2024 – you can wishlist it now on Steam!
Enter the Chronosphere
We were then treated to a new trailer for Enter the Chronosphere, a psychedelic roguelike with turn-based gameplay. The game has advertised that you can play at your own pace, alternating between bold, quick action and careful, meticulous planning – be sure to add the game to your wishlist today to be prepared for its release date soon!
Pneumata

Next up was a new gameplay trailer for Pneumata, and horror fans will be ready to rejoice at the perfect blend of psychological and survival horror on display. The game looks absolutely horrifying, and we can’t wait to try it out for ourselves when it releases on consoles and PC later in summer 2024.
Sonokuni
The vibe of our next announcement was simply immaculate. Sonokuni will be a 2D action game themed in a biopunk and Japanese mythology-inspired landscape. The game, scheduled to release on PC in 2024, will adopt an insta death system, where one hit means death – we can’t wait to see how the intensity of this gameplay is balanced with the game’s themes. The Casting of Frank Stone
We then got a lengthy look at the much anticipated The Casting of Frank Stone, a collaborative narrative driven game co-created by Supermassive Games and Behaviour Interactive, set in the world of the latter’s highly successful Dead By Daylight. From what we’ve seen, this one is looking like another solid Supermassive narrative adventure, so fans of the Dark Pictures, be sure to check this one out when it drops!
Nikoderiko
The next game showcased was a world premiere trailer for Nikoderiko, a family-friendly, vibrant platform adventure. The family gaming title will also offer co-op gameplay, making it a perfect addition to any family game night. A release date is yet to be announced, but the game will arrive soon on PC and consoles, and you can wishlist it on Steam today!
Woodrunner Games Showcase

The Future Games Show concluded with a very brief look at a new game by Woodrunner Games, an indie studio featuring developers who worked on Cuphead – and it looks like this game will offer a similar 2D, cartoon vibe. While we know very little about this game as of now (not even its title!), the game will be fully revealed later this year, so keep an eye out!
