Summer Game Fest 2024
Day 3 Summary
Day 3 of Summer Game Fest already? Boy did we cover a lot already, and it’s not over! Here’s the one a lot of fans have been waiting for, the Xbox and PC showcases. The previous days had some great titles featured, if you have not being following our coverage check out our Day 1 and Day 2 summaries, though they seemingly lacked the mainstream titles we have all been waiting for – that is where Day 3 comes into play! Expect to see a lot of AAA games listed below, and in Summer Game Fest fashion, some awesome indie titles too. Let’s get into it!
Xbox Games Showcase
Black Ops 6
The Xbox showcase started off with a trailer for Black Ops 6. This game is set in 1991, 10 years after the last Black Ops title Cold War. Black Ops 6 releases October 25th and will launch day one on Game Pass.
Doom: The Dark Ages

Fans of the Doom series will be glad to know the world premiere for Doom: The Dark Ages dropped during the showcase. The game looks just how you would expect a Doom sequel to look, but with crazy cinematics. The game is set to launch sometime in 2025 for PC, PS5 and Xbox, and arriving to Game Pass on day one.
State of Decay 3
Next up, another sequel, State of Decay 3! Team up with friends once again to survive the zombie apocalypse in a large open world which looks better than it ever has before. Though we have no release date yet, this game is an Xbox and PC exclusive and will launch on day one on Game Pass when it does get released.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard
10 years since the previous title was released, the wait is almost over… Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be releasing in the Fall of this year. This sequel is set after the event of the Trespasser DLC on Inquisition so for a broader backstory, be sure to play that before the game releases. The Veilguard will be released on Xbox, PC and PS5.
Starfield
The first expansion pack to be showcased in this event was an interesting one, Starfield is back after 9 months with their first expansion pack, Shattered Space. No release date as of yet but we can expect to see the expansion released sometime in 2024.
Fallout 76
Another expansion showcased, Fallout 76: Skyline Valley is set to release in just 2 days on June 12th. This expansion adds a new area to the map and to many fans’ pleasure you will now be able to play as The Ghoul.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
From a team of former Ubisoft developers comes this turn-based RPG, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. The graphics are stunning and the gameplay shown in the trailer looks very fun. Expedition 33 launches in 2025 on PC, PS5 and Xbox with a day one launch on Game Pass.
South of Midnight
Here’s another Xbox and PC exclusive, South of Midnight! Xbox showcased a lengthy gameplay trailer for us and to say it looks interesting is an understatement. The graphics are beautiful and the mechanics are very interesting. The game is set to release some time in 2025 with a day one release on Game Pass.
World of Warcraft
Warcraft fans can expect another expansion this year when The War Within drops August 25th. In the latest expansion, we can expect to see a new region and a new class called the Earthen.
Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater
The next game in the showcase is a remake of 2004’s Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Delta. Fans can expect the same gripping story but with all new stunning graphics. Launching on Playstation 5, Xbox and PC in 2024, 20 years after the original’s release.
Sea of Thieves

Sea of Thieves is back with another season full of new quests and this time we can become a villain! Season 13 launches on July 25th on PS5, PC and Xbox and as always, it will be available on Game Pass.
Flintlock: The Siege of Day
One that Souls fans will enjoy, Flintlock: The Siege of Day! Fight against the gods in this action RPG with your companion. Releasing on July 18th on PS5, PC and Xbox with a day one Game Pass release.
Age of Mythology: Retold
Here is another Xbox and PC exclusive for you, from the creators of Age of Empire comes Age of Mythology: Retold. Build your own empire in this stunning new strategy game releasing September 4th with a day one on Game Pass release.
Perfect Dark
Nostalgia has been a hard hitter at this showcase, and that includes this next title, Perfect Dark. This is a total reboot of the 2000 game of the same title. Perfect Dark is a fast paced thriller FPS with a gripping story and some very interesting mechanics. Though the game has no set release date yet, it will be available to play day one on Game Pass and launch exclusively for Xbox and PC (according to speculation).
Diablo 4
Diablo 4 is another popular game set to get an expansion with the trailer being showcased at the event. Vessel of Hatred is set to release on October 8th and will introduce a new character, new story missions and a massive map expansion.
Fable 4

Finally, more news from the long awaited Fable 4, and this time we saw gameplay! Fable 4 is an RPG choice based game set in the mystical world of Albion. Launch exclusively for Xbox and PC with a day one launch on Game Pass in 2025.
Frag Punk
Next up we have another shooter, but this time it’s a 5v5. Frag Punk looks very similar to Valorant with the addition of powerup cards really making it stand out in its genre. Frag Punk will be available on Xbox and PC sometime in 2025.
Winter Burrow
If you were not happy with the amount of cosy games shown during Game Fest, here is another one for you! Winter Burrow is a cosy woodland survival game set to release early 2025 on PC and Xbox with a day one launch on Game Pass.
Mixtape
If a coming of age drama with an iconic soundtrack is what you’ve been looking for, then look no further because Mixtape is exactly that! Releasing on PS5, PC and Xbox with a day one launch on Game Pass some time in 2025.
Microsoft Flight Sim 2024
We’ve all heard about Microsoft Flight Sim, but what about the 2024 sequel which includes some very interesting new mechanics like cargo transportation and fire fighting? Microsoft Flight Sim 2024 will release November 19th exclusively on Xbox and PC with a day one release on Game Pass.
Elder Scrolls Online
Another popular MMO set to get a new expansion is Elder Scrolls Online. Gold Road will include a new character, skills and a large map expansion. Not only is this new update set to release June 18th, but all DLC’s will be available to play for free for a limited time only so we can catch up on the story so far!
Life is Strange: Double Exposure

Next up is another long awaited sequel… Life is Strange: Double Exposure. The game marks the return of the beloved protagonist from the first game, Max Caulfield and we could not be more excited. The game launches October 29th on PS5, PC and Xbox.
Indiana Jones and The Great Circle
This was definitely a strange one, Indiana Jones and The Great Circle. In this we see our favourite archaeologist fight to save the world in a first person original story set in the Indiana Jones universe. Launching exclusively for Xbox and PC with a day one release on Game Pass sometime in 2024.
Wuchang Fallen Feathers
Another Souls like action RPG showcased in the event was Wuchang Fallen Feathers. From what was shown of gameplay, this looks like it is going to be a tough one. Releasing in 2025 on PS5, PC and Xbox with a day one launch on Game Pass.
Avowed
Next up is another action RPG, but this one seems pretty unique. In Avowed, players will fight reptiles, bears and other demonic looking guys in first person. Launching exclusively for Xbox and PC with a day one release on Game Pass sometime in 2024.
Atomfall
The only way to describe this next game is ‘Fallout, but in Britain’ – seriously if you do not believe us, just watch the Atomfall trailer! Set to release in 2025 on PS5, PC and Xbox with a day one release on Game Pass.
Assassins Creed: Shadows

It’s hard to believe this franchise is still going strong and giving us unique and interesting stories 17 years later, but here we are with Assassin’s Creed: Shadows. In Shadows, we play as a Shinobi assassin or a samurai, giving us more content than ever before. Releasing on November 15th on PS5, PC and Xbox with a day one release on Game Pass.
Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl

I know what you are thinking… typo? That is not on our part and was exactly the same thought we had when we first saw this. When Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl was first announced they used the spelling ‘Chernobyl’, however the new name reflects the Ukrainian form rather than Russian since a lot of the development team are from Ukraine – plus general support for the country during these hard times. This post apocalyptic first person shooter does look like a lot of fun and is being heavily praised by fans of the previous game! Launching exclusively for Xbox and PC with a day one release on Game Pass September 5th.
Gears of War: E-Day
Finally, the last game of the Xbox Showcase, and what a great close to the show! Gears of War: E-Day is set 14 years before the events of the original game and tells the story of the first Locust invasion. Though we have no release day yet, E-Day will release exclusively on Xbox and PC with a day one release on Game Pass
PC Gaming Show
Among the Wild

The first game on this list is a first person sandbox style game with a creature collecting focus, Among the Wild. Though we have no official release date, you can sign up for the closed Alpha today by going to their website!
Star Birds
Next we have a cheerful base-building game where you play as a bird? Star Birds is set to release in 2025 and can be added to your wishlist today.
Lorn Vale
Another post-apocalyptic survival game showcased in the PC Game Show for Lorn Vale. Interestingly enough, players of Lorn Vale can use guns and magic to survive. Releasing in 2025, though you can sign up for the play test now.
Ale Abbey
A silly game for avid drinkers. In Ale Abbey, the player is tasked with creating a brewery in medieval times. Launching some time in 2024, you can add this to your wishlist on Steam today.
Streets of Rogue 2
Another fun looking sandbox game, Streets of Rogue 2. Fight, farm or even talk your way to power, you can play solo or with friends. Launching 2024, wishlist today on Steam.
Wander Stars
Next we have a turn based RPG where players must attack by combining words. Wander Stars has no official release date yet, but will be playable on Nintendo Switch and PC. Add it to your Steam wishlist today.
Southfield
Available in early access June 24th is this silly looking sandbox farming sim, Southfield. This game has a very new take on this genre, we are very excited to try it! Wishlist now on Steam.
Steel Seed
Finally, a game coming to Nintendo, PS5, Xbox and PC, is Steel Seed. This game is a stealth action adventure game set in a world where humans are on the brink of extinction. Releasing 2024.
Fallen Aces
This is one I must say I am very excited for, Fallen Aces. I did not know an episodic comic book style first person shooter was the game I have been looking for, but I am very excited for the first episode to launch on Steam June 14th!
Stormgate
Next up, a free-to-play next-gen RTS, Stormgate. The official release for this game is August 13th, however a pre-purchase option is available for those wanting to get their hands on this game a little earlier on July 30th.
Mars Tactics
Mars Tactics is a turn-based tactical game set on Mars! Choose between 2 factions in the battle for Mars. Set to release 2024, though interested players can wishlist the game on Steam now.
Toads of The Bayou
Coming in October this year is Toads of The Bayou, a turn-based deck builder. The graphics are interesting to say the least and the game looks super fun!
Sumerian Six

Another RTS game set to release this year is Sumerian Six. This game combines classic RTS gameplay and stealth tactics. You can even play the demo now on Steam.
Fumes
Get ready to arm your vehicle with weapons in an endless wasteland in this fast paced retro style car combat game, Fumes. No release date yet, though you can wishlist the game today.
SULFUR
SULFUR is a retro style action adventure first person shooter. Though the game is not out till later this year, you can try the demo yourself today on Steam.
Phantom Line
Next is a paranormal first person shooter set in post-nuclear Europe, Phantom Line. Join your friends in this open world 4 person co-op horror some time in the near future. No release date is set as of yet, but you can add onto your Steam wishlist now.
Killing Floor 3
Another long awaited sequel, Killing Floor 3. This co-op action horror first person shooter is set to release early 2025 on PS5, Xbox and PC, almost 9 years after the previous title in the series.
Copa City
The first of its kind, a tycoon football game you did not know you wanted, Copa City. Set to release some time in 2025 on PS5, Xbox, and PC.
Tempopo
By the creators of Unpacking, is this silly little puzzle game, Tempopo. This game has a very calming vibe about it and some stunning visuals. No release date has been set yet, though the game will be released on Nintendo Switch, Xbox and PC.
Last Moon
Here we have another action RPG which almost feels like a blast from the past, Last Moon. This game has a very 90’s soundtrack and visuals which can be demoed today on Steam, with a expected release date sometime in 2025.
I Am Your Beast
Next we have another tactical first person shooter, though this one has a very appealing comic book style to it. I Am Your Beast will be released on August 15th on PC.
Cataclismo
Next up on the list was this RTS tower defence, Cataclismo. Set to release on July 16th on PC, though interested players can wishlist now.
Level Zero: Extraction

This list seems to be over saturated with first person shooter horrors, but this game has us excited. Level Zero: Extraction literally looks as if Call of Duty had a baby with Resident Evil, and there is nothing to hate about that! Level Zero: Extraction is currently in open Beta now, with a release date set for later this year for Xbox, PS5 and PC.
Citizen Sleeper 2
Another game heading to Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox and PC in early 2025 is this tabletop inspired RPG, Citizen Sleeper 2. Expect stunning visuals and some unique gameplay in this title.
Demonschool
Demon School is another interesting looking turn-based RPG set to release later this year. The game will be released on September 13th on Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox and PC.
Unrailed 2
Next up we have a railroad construction game, Unrailed 2. In this game, players can create their own maps and share them for other players to play too. Releasing 2024.
Space station 14
Ever wanted to run your own space station? Well now you can in Space Station 14. This free-to-play RPG not only has interesting gameplay, but it’s completely open source meaning limitless gameplay! No release date yet, so wishlist it now on Steam.
Unbeatable
Coming 2025 is this stylish rhythm game, Unbeatable. Set in an anime world where music is illegal, this action adventure is sure to be a lot of fun. Releasing on PS5, Xbox and PC.
Odinfall
Next we have Odinfall. A pixel RPG where the player must take down robotic Norse gods. No release date has been set as of yet, though the demo can be played now on Steam.
Core Keeper
Sandbox meets dungeon crawler, is the only way I can describe this next game. Core Keeper is set to release August 27th on Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox and PC.
Striden
A new sandbox loot and shooter is coming soon. Striden looks very similar to most games in this genre, so if you are a fan, you are sure to enjoy it. No release date has been set just yet though Steam users can request early access from today!
Deathsprint 66

As the title suggests, this is a game about running and dying! Deathsprint 66 looks like nothing else on the market, so be sure to wishlist it now. No set release day as of yet.
Crescent County
Here’s an interesting spin on wizardry, Crescent County. Zoom around this open world on your motor broom, race characters and decorate your home on either your Xbox or PC. No release date is set as of yet.
Cat Quest 3
Next we have another RPG, but this time with a paw-fect twist. That’s right, in Cat Quest 3, you play as a badass cat! Releasing on Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox and PC on August 8th.
Go Go Town
City builder fans, here is one for you, Go Go Town. This game looks very much like Animal Crossing but in a futuristic setting! Launching on Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox and PC on June 18.
Star Trucker
Star Trucker is a very interesting take on a trucking sim for you, as in this game, you are in space! The graphics and gameplay look surprisingly cool for this one! Releasing on September 3rd on PC.

Next, another first person shooter, 83. This game when it eventually releases will have large multiplayer lobbies of 80+ people. Though the game has no release date yet, you can wishlist it now on Steam.
Generation Exile
In this title, players must build their own colony to give humanity a second chance of survival. Generation Exile is a modern twist on city builder games set to release on PC in 2025.
Blue Prince
Now let’s take a look at a first person puzzle adventure with beautiful cartoon visuals. Blue Prince looks absolutely incredible! No release date yet, so be sure to wishlist on Steam.
Tactical Breach Wizards
Another witch game, but with guns… What could possibly go wrong. Tactical Breach Wizards is set to release August 20th on PC.
Aloft
Next we have another survival game with beautiful visuals and interesting gameplay, Aloft. This game is set apart from other games in this genre by the fact it is set on floating islands in the sky! Releasing in 2024, though the demo is available now on Steam.
Hotel Galactic
Here is another colony sim, Hotel Galactic. This one has a very cute art style and introduces some strange mechanics like doing laundry! We currently have no release date for this game yet since it is in very early stages, though the Kickstarter starts in July.
Still Wakes the Deep
Still Wakes The Deep is a psychological horror set in the 1970’s. This game seems to be story rich and honestly quite terrifying. Launching on PS5, Xbox and PC on June 18.
Into The Dead Our Darkest Day
Another terrifying horror is Into The Dead Our Darkest Day. This game combines so many different genres from platformer to survival, we can set our hopes high for this one. Releasing on PC in October this year.
Streets of Fortuna
Next we have another open world sandbox game. In Streets of Fortuna however, players can choose to be an honest worker, a street rat or even a spy – the sky’s the limits. No release date, wishlist on Steam.
Grit and Valor

In Grit and Valor, players command a squad of mechs in a single player RTS style combat. Set to release in 2025 on PS5, Nintendo Switch, PC and Xbox.
The Rise of The Golden Idol
This silly looking detective game is another title from the showcase with a demo now on Steam! In The Rise of the Golden Idol, the player is tasked with investigating cases and building their own theories. Set to release 2024 on PC.
Every Day We Fight
Next up we have a turn based strategy game set in a post-apocalyptic world, Every Day We Fight. This game combines traditional turn-based mechanics with third person visuals and is set to release in 2024 on PC.
Tales of Seikyu
Tales of Seikyu is a story rich fantasy game with some very beautiful anime style graphics. Players can explore the world, build relationships and decorate their homes. Release early 2025 on PS5, PC and Xbox.
Island of Winds
Another puzzle game to look forward to, Island of Winds. In this adventure game, we explore the fantasy world inspired by 17th century Iceland and folklore. Set to release on PS5, PC and Xbox in 2025.
Airframe Ultra
Here we have another retro style combat racing game, but this time on bikes! Everything about this Airframe Ultra feels nostalgic, especially the split screen mode. No release date as of yet, be sure to wishlist on Steam.
Stormforge

Next up, Stormforge, an exploration survival game for up to 8 people. This is another game with comic style graphics, though I must say I have preferred the others, the gameplay on this one sure makes up for that. No release date, wishlist today on Steam.
Windblown
This lightning-fast roguelike action game, Windblown, is definitely something you will want to check out, especially if you have a passion for speedrunning. Set to release on early access in 2024 on PC.
Worship
Ever wanted to join a cult? No? Well I should hope not. Anyway you can live out that fantasy in Worship, the roguelike action 2D multiplayer madness! Wishlist it now on Steam, it looks really fun to play with friends.
Gunboat God
Here we are, the final game of the list, Gunboat God. This is a chaotic 2D shooter, you must add to your wishlist! The arcade style gameplay and visuals are nothing but pleasing as you battle your way through progressively harder levels, upgrade your weapons and gain new abilities.
